Dry out plastic slip mats every day: Plastic slip mats are very useful, but if left in the bottom of your tub or shower day after day without drying out or ever being cleaned, when you do finally lift them out, you’ll be horrified to see what is lurking beneath. Not only that, but these mats can permanently stain your bath if you’re not careful. So, lift them out and dry them completely after every use, or at least once a day, whichever is more convenient.

However, always ensure that your cloths, sponges and any other materials that you use for cleaning, are washed as regularly as you clean your bathroom, otherwise they will soon begin to smell and harbour nasty bacteria.
