The Det The Details of Rela Relation with ails of DDA tion with M DDA J Zo J Zone MPD 2 PD 2021 ne Project Projects i 021 s in n Due to the increasing problem of accommodation in our capital city, government has taken initiative to develop the undeveloped villages of Delhi. In order make this effective, Delhi needs huge area of land to develop commercial as well as residential sectors to achieve a target of well-planned Smart City. With this context MPD 2021 has been passed in 2013 and land pooling policy came into effect. This needs a coordinated and integrated approach and with a participatory planning process the city is divided into some prospective zones among which J, K and L zones are on top priority for development of affordable housing projects. DDA J Zone in South Delhi is spread over an area of 6515 hectares out of which around 2883 hectares of land is available. The DDA’s Land Pooling Policy will bring a huge change in the whole layout of Delhi. Focusing on the socio-economic and political life of India, a symbol of ancient values and aspirations and world’s largest democracy capital, is assumed as gaining eminence among the great cities of the world. Growing at an unprecedented pace, the city needs to be able to integrate its elegant past as well as the modern developments into its totality, which demands a purposeful transformation of the socio-economic, natural and built environment.

  2. Total area of J zone (south Delhi) in hectares is as follows - 15,178, Ridge- 6200 Green belt- 410 Bird Sanctuary- 300 Urban Expansion- 8268. Development of existing urban areas and proposed urban extension will be under MPD 2021 and to be finished by 2021. This zone can be planned with balanced development and integration of modern technologies with existing urban areas. The top priority will be preservation and conversation of natural resources, eco-system, heritage and archaeological sites. The J-zone has a great location advantage as it is bounded by NH- 8 on west and NH- 2 on east which provides gateway to Delhi and Harayana. Moreover, important neighboring landmarks are in close proximity to significant places such as Asola Bird Sanctuary, Tughlakabad Shooting Range, Sultan Garhi Tomb, Adilabad Fort, Chhattarpur Mandir, Ahimsa Sthal which adds value to the zone will make the fortunate buyers happy to purchase an abode here.
