  1. We all know that one person that has a fixation about a certain color.

  2. They literally want everything that the average person desires, but with one condition being and that is the color of the item.

  3. This particular person might actually spend a lot more on a car for wanting it to be that specific color especially if that color is rosy pink.

  4. However, we can learn what not to do when selecting a vehicle color unless you want to spend a fortune or have to resell the vehicle down the road for a loss compared to what you could have received for it if it were a standard color.

  5. When picking a car the basic colors that are safe for resell are black, white, and silver.

  6. The reason for this is that scratches are harder to see when the car is a light color.

  7. However, when it comes to black it doesn’t show dirt as easily, so it is easier to keep the vehicle looking nice in this regard.

  8. Another reason why people should avoid picking a crazy color for their car is for visual maintenance repair.

  9. For example, let us consider that you are in a wreck or your ex decides they want to key or somehow else damage your car.

  10. This could mean extra money that has to be spent to repaint the vehicle.

  11. This could add up if the paint has to be special ordered.

  12. However, let’s say that the paint color is discontinued.

  13. This could mean that you have to have your entire vehicle repainted which could cost a fortune.

  14. It could also mean that you would have to live with the paint damage the rest of the time you owned the vehicle, and you would take a loss at reselling the vehicle if the dealership even decided to buy the vehicle.

  15. Another reason why drivers may not want to have a crazy color for their car is due to the uniqueness of the individual.

  16. Let’s be honest, most people don’t want a crazy color when it comes to their vehicle, and so by being conservative with your color choice you save yourself the embarrassment of looking silly when trying to sell your car back to the dealership when it comes time to trade the car in for a new car.

  17. Hopefully with this knowledge future car buyers will be dissuaded from purchasing a vehicle that they end up regretting.
