  1. Practical Tips for Restoring Classic Cars David H Kowalski EMC

  2. David H Kowalski EMC is a resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts. He was born and raised in Worcester and attended Worcester Technical High School where he learned the basics of electrical and mechanical work. After graduating from high school, he attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute and graduated at the top of his class. David H Kowalski EMC has been working on cars ever since he was a teenager. His father was a renowned mechanic in Worcester, and he used to help out at his father’s garage during the weekend. Here are a couple of practical tips for restoring classic cars.

  3. Choose the Right Vehicle If you are planning to restore a classic car, you will need to make sure you choose the right vehicle. The fact is that most classic cars will not prove valuable no matter what you do. Hence, it is important to research which model is worth restoring before you go ahead and buy a classic car.

  4. Work Out a Budget Before you start working on a restoration job, you will need to work out a budget. Make sure the amount you spend on the car is not more than the actual value of the car. Check the car to make sure there are no added costs involved.

  5. Primary Inspection To check if the car is worth the value after the restoration work is complete, you will need to first inspect the mechanical aspects of the car. If the engine and other mechanical parts are good, it might be ok to go ahead. Trying to find engine replacements can be a costly affair.

  6. Secondary Inspection The secondary inspection should be focused towards the chassis. Check to see the level of rust on the car, and whether it is worth restoring. If you need to remove rust, you will most likely need to have the vehicle completely stripped down and sandblast the entire chassis. David H Kowalski EMC knows that restoring cars can take several months to complete.
