  1. Bean-a-thon on Pogo: A Series Marathon You Just Can’t Miss “Nothing can be made foolproof because fools are so ingenious.” That is exactly what Mr. Bean stands for. A curious child in the body of a man, the world-famous simpleton has the most unusual and innocent reactions to everyday scenarios, making them hilarious to the core. Taking a leaf from the typical Charlie Chaplin persona, the show is primarily driven by visuals with nearly no dialogues, as the protagonist’s expressions and reactions play the hero. Inspired from the original show featuring Rowan Atkinson in the titular role, the animated TV series of the same name made the entire world fall in love with the character again. When asked about the series, Rowan said, “Mr. Bean is a very, very self-contained character because he’s so sort of introspective and so selfish and self-centered that there’s no particular need to have another person in the scene to make him funny.”

  2. Bean-a-thon on Pogo: A Series Marathon You Just Can’t Miss When you take a popular plot like this and turn it into an animated show for the younger audience, not only does it give children of the world another character to love and adore, it also brings to life a beloved show in another format. Besides, while the makers of the show intended to keep it devoid of dialogues for universal appeal, when aired in India, it featured minimal voice-overs attuned to the psyche of both kids and adults residing in this country. As a result, the animated series has not only appeased fans of the original, but has also found new followership amongst a much younger audience in India. From a child’s point of view, especially, the relationship between Mr. Bean and his teddy stands out as the most relatable one.
