BIS certification for LED lights in India

The Bureau of Indian Standards operates in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and is responsible for setting safety and quality standards for products in India. Under its Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS), it requires manufacturers and importers of certain electronic goods, including LED lighting products, to certify their products under the BIS CRS for sale or marketing in India.
