  1. Tips to Treat Your Injured Dog It’s disturbing to see your canine athlete to get injured. Dogs are fearless and once in a while, there is a pretty chance they hurt themselves. Either minor or serious, dogs are bound to get into a few scrapes now and then due to their high energy levels. Just like humans, pets also need some extra care and treatment during their lousy days. If you own a pet, you must be aware to give immediate care as well as treat long term condition. Sometimes it’s harder to detect an injury. So, in this case, you need to note the following signs:-  Swelling  Difficulty in walking or limping  Avoidance of touch in certain areas  Unexplained warmth in a certain body area  Whining or barking while touching to injured spot What to do with the injury? You need to be observant to detect the injury in your furry companion. You need to train yourself to keep watching your canine stretch, run, walk, turn and jump. Dog’s tail is prone to get injured very easily. One must be careful because this leads to trauma if left untreated. Clean the spot with any antiseptic and let dry them. If you don’t have any antiseptic, use warm water with little salt. If you see bleeding from its injury, apply a firm bandage. Use cold compress for bruising or tenderness. If there is something unusual go for professional care. Let your veterinarian handle the serious fracture. For longtime injuries, you need to adopt patience and consistency. Give your pet prescribed medicines on time.
