  2. Look Good! • When you exercise it helps your appearance! • People like to look good!

  3. Feel Good! • Studies show that people that exercise regularly “feel good about life.” • Exercise help them to work better, and to resist fatigue, illness and injuries.

  4. Be Healthy • Research shows that one thing that would make adults happy is “good health” • If you are active and fit you are less likely to suffer from heart disease, backache, or obesity. • Can also lower the risk of high blood pressure, ulcers, and even some forms of cancer.

  5. Health Related Physical Fitness • Physical fitness is made up of eleven parts; five parts are health- related, six parts are skill-related. As the names imply, health-related fitness helps you perform well in sports and activities the require certain skills.

  6. Cardiovascular Fitness • The ability to exercise your entire body for long periods of time. • Requires a strong heart, healthy lungs, and clear blood vessels to supply your body with oxygen.

  7. Strength • It is the amount of force your muscles can produce. • People with good strength can perform daily tasks efficiently, that is with the least amount of effort.

  8. Muscular Endurance • Ability to use your muscles many times without tiring. • They are able to resist fatigue than people who lack good muscular endurance.

  9. Flexibility • Ability to use your joints fully- through a wide range of motion. • People with good flexibility have fewer sore of injured muscles.

  10. Body Fatness • People who are in the proper range of body fatness are more likely to avoid illness. • They also even have lower death rates than those outside these ranges. • Too little or too much body fat can cause health problems.

  11. Skill-Related Physical Fitness • Activities that help you to play sports.

  12. Agility • Ability to change the position of your body quickly and to control your body’s movements.

  13. Balance • Ability to keep an upright posture while standing still or moving.

  14. Coordination • Ability to use your senses together with your body parts, or to use two or more body parts together.

  15. Power • Ability to use strength quickly.

  16. Reaction Time • Amount of time it takes you to move once you realize the need to act.

  17. Speed • Ability to perform a movement or cover a distance in a short period of time.

  18. Time • Make exercise an important part of your life! • Have a specific time of day that you choose to exercise!

  19. Schedule • Have a plan. • Write it down. • Make it a habit.
