  1. Lever Locks: Smarter Options for safety revealed The ​lever lock is nothing but a group of levers that is in place of a tumbler that protects the lock from the bolt from moving in the system. The lever locks are widely used by many pickers and it is also known as “Chubb locks”. When the key is embedded into the lock and the lever moves then the bolt is operated. The levers in the ​lever locks might differ but it is said that if there are more lever then a lock is said to be more secure than any other. The lever lock which is normally found in housings helps to secure the house which also consists of a nozzle and a keyhole.

  2. What are the types of lever locks available? The lever lock is available in three and five-level types. It has been seen that if a lock has more lever then it is more secure and the key shape is more different and larger in shape. A bitted key is usually required in the lever lock and also requires a key operation from both ends. The keys are moved on each level to a specific height to move the lock bolt. The principal of lever lock: In the ​lever lock​, a series of the lever are used which have gates and that need to be lifted to certain heights and thus it permits the bolt stump to move which leads to unlocking the door. When you insert a key and turn it all the different heights are cuts and the key helps to lift the levers to the correct height. These are eventually aligned perfectly and thus provide a gap. The bolt stump can move through these gaps. As the key is turned the lever rises and the bolt thrower moves accordingly as the gates are aligned correctly. Finally, the lock is opened as the bolt and the stump can freely move. The ​lever lock is a lock where a lever is used to retract a spring latch which gains access to a location. A common key in lever and deadbolt is installed. We find lever locks mainly in commercial and residential areas and they are favored over the knob locks which are quite older than these locks.
