Tips to Make Learning from Home Easier longgrove.tutoringcenter.com/blog/posts/articles/tips-to-make-learning-from-home-easier Students who are completing their school lessons at home will face quite a challenge right along with their parents. To help both parents and students, check out these useful work from home tips. How to Make Learning from Home Easy for You and Your Child Students who are now attending school from the comfort of their own home may quickly realize that this isn't actually comfortable. Parents may also be struggling to keep their children focused and working while taking care of their own work responsibilities. The following tips can help both parents and students make it through these new situations. Maintain a Regular Schedule Parents and students both need to follow a regular schedule that will give order to their day. Not only will this make the day easier, but it can also lead to a calmer atmosphere and to more productivity. The easiest way to do this is by creating a routine that's easy to follow and that gets you in the right mindset for the day. For your child, this can mean getting up at the same time as a regular schoolday, showering, getting dressed, and sitting down for some breakfast before jumping into their lessons. It also helps to have an end time for their school day so that they have something to look forward to. Set Some Ground Rules Setting a few rules at the start can make things work more smoothly and keep everyone happy. Since your child will be in school mode and you will likely be in work mode, this means quiet hours. You may even have some hours where you're unavailable due to work commitments, so be sure you have this smoothed out. On top of this, regular school rules 1/3

Take Breaks No one can go the entire day working, so it's important that your child takes breaks. If a lot of their work requires that they stare at a computer screen, be sure they're taking enough breaks so that their eyes don't get worn out. Factor in the breaks they normally get at school, such as recess and lunchtime so that they keep that same routine. Not all breaks have to include playtime or be productive. Let your child rest their mind so that they don't feel burned out. To ensure your child is able to keep up with their school lessons, enroll them in tutoring in Long Grove. There are plenty of academic programs your child can benefit from at The Tutoring Center, Long Grove IL. You can learn all about these by giving their learning center a call at (847) 383- 5654. Create a Functional Workspace Your child's workspace can greatly affect their ability to be productive and feel at ease. If you and your partner are also working from home, you'll also need your own workspace for the same reasons. This can feel tricky, but it's easy to resolve. If your child has a workspace they use to do homework regularly, this can turn into their workspace for the time being. Find another space for yourself that isn't too far away but that also is conducive to your work. You may want to designate a space for taking work calls so that no one disrupts the work environment. Check-in With Your Child Working from home may not be ideal for you and your child, so it's important that you take the time to check in on them. Ask your child how they're feeling about school and also about the situation in general. It's important that you listen to them and validate their feelings so that they know you aren't just brushing them off. If they're having trouble with anything, ask how you can help make it better. Be comforting but also be honest as best as you can. Get Active Finally, don't forget to spend some time moving. It can be easy to fall into the habit of sitting in front of screens all day, so do your best to combat this. Encourage your child to get up and move every so often or even do fun activities that get their blood pumping. This can be anything from dancing and being silly to a quick exercise routine. If possible, head outside into the yard to get some fresh air. 2/3
