Naxals attacked a security forces patrol in Bijapur district on August 19, injuring two jawans. The attack took place in the forests of the Kistaram area. The security forces retaliated and the exchange of fire lasted for several hours. ● 11-year-old girl kidnapped, raped in Durg district. An 11-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped in Durg district on August 19. The girl was abducted from her village while she was grazing cattle. She was later found in a nearby forest and taken to a hospital. The police have arrested the accused, who is a neighbour of the victim. ● Heavy rains lash Chhattisgarh, several roads, bridges damaged.
