The members of PMT unit monitored the demonstration plots regularly to take corrective measures as per suggestions of the experts.

  27. Position of submission of Success Stories • One Success Story on A3P (Arahar) in Nagaon district will be submitted to National Mission Director shortly.

Constraints and achievements in implementing with suggestion • Assistance for HYV & Hybrid rice seeds may be increased to 50% of the total cost instead of existing assistance of Rs. 5.00 & Rs. 20.00 per Kg. respectively. • Low subsidy rate of Rotavator & Sprinkler Set. • No. of SRI demonstration may be increased with more financial assistance. • Scarcity in Breeder & Foundation Seeds. • Assam’s soil is acidic in nature and requires amelioration to enhance productivity. Assistance of Rs. 500.00 per hectare, which is around 7% of total cost. So, it needs to be enhanced to at least 50% of actual cost to attract the farmers. • Provision to provide Tractor & Power Tiller to facilitate farm mechanization.
