Special Programs“Base of Preference” • First Term Airman (FTA) • - CJR tied into the application process • - 8 months TOS to apply – 12 months to PCS • - OS returnees can apply • - OS Vulnerability Not a Factor • Career Airman • - 41 month TOS to apply – 48 months to PCS • - OS vulnerability considered • - Losing manning is a factor

Join Spouse • Serve in own right • Join spouse intent code takes precedence over location preferences • 12 months TOS for funded moves • Volunteers selected for accompanied overseas only if requirement for spouse exists within 6 months of RNLTD • Non-volunteers selected for overseas will have their spouse considered for a vacancy • Intent Codes • Intent Code A: CONUS, any OS Tours to include Concurrent Short Tours • Intent Code B: CONUS and any OS Accompanied Tours (does not include Concurrent Short Tours) • Intent Code H: Join Spouse consideration not desired
