Goals • The participants will be able to • Use a SMART Board to manipulate the desktop of a computer • Incorporate SMART Tools in activities to enhance student understanding • Take notes and save them on Microsoft Word and Excel InkAware documents • Take notes and save them on Microsoft PowerPoint presentations • Use Notebook Software to create lessons

Overview • Discuss the basic functions of SMART Technologies Products and interact with the board and AirLiner • Learn the basic classroom uses for each SMART Technologies Product • Learn the functions of the SMART Board Tools and use in a sample lesson • Use InkAware Microsoft products with the SMART Board • Explore Notebook Software • Visit the Education.SMARTTech.com website and peruse the educator resources • Create lesson plan using SMART Notebook Software • Present lesson plan(s) to group

Progress Diagram Board Orientation and SMART Board Tools InkAware Notebook Begin by touching the board to manipulate your computer’s desktop and perform any task you would complete sitting at your keyboard. Use Microsoft Word and Excel for classroom activities and incorporate your notes from the SMART Board into your documents. Save notes to PowerPoint presentations also. Use SMART Notebook to organize your lessons and units. Also store any additional files as attachments to notebook files for easy access during instruction.
