  1. Checklist For Buying A Home With FHA Loan While applying for FHA Loan to finance a home, there are certain requirements and eligibility criteria that a borrower needs to qualify. The borrowers should have enough savings to make the down payment which is 3.5% or higher depending upon credit score. Mortgage lenders will evaluate credit reports. So, borrowers should check their payment history and make sure they have no outstanding debts. Borrowers would need to provide their documents including government issued IDs, pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, etc. Get a pre-approval from a mortgage lender to review your financial situation and evaluate the amount of loan that you can afford. After getting pre-approved, borrower can apply for a loan within his borrowing capacity. The application is followed by closing process. 107 W.
