  2. HUMBLE BEGINNINGS Ryan Zofaywas born in Lake Worth, Florida to hardworking parents. Mr. Zofay’s sister died as a child from Alexander disease — a rare condition that affects the nervous system — and his family was thrown into disarray as a result of this trauma. Mr. Zofay got into trouble, to the degree that he was forced to look inward and make a commitment to his personal health and sobriety.

  3. After his turmoil as a young man, Mr. Zofay completed his GED and went into commodities and trading, using his natural business acumen to get ahead. He rose to become one of the top traders at his company and branched off to open his own business, Oxford Trading Company, with aims to reach the top of industry, but his inexperience let him down. His license was suspended due to a citation of improper sales practices. This was one of the earliest obstacles Mr. Zofay was forced to overcome in his career, although his home life was difficult as he was growing up. Not long after, Ryan Zofaycame back stronger as the co-founder of Sterling Precious Metals, where he thrived until the company was unable to adjust to the new financial regulations imposed by The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in 2010.

Sterling was sued by the FTC over an alleged violation, causing Francis Ryan Zofayto once again look inward and see where he had distanced himself from the strong ethical lessons he had been instilled with in his earlier struggles. From that point on, he decided to turn over a new leaf and began looking for an opportunity to do something for the good of the community where he was born and raised, South Florida.
