  1. Childhood

  2. The Genre • Sci-Fi / Thriller • Designed in a supernatural world with real world issues and shooting locations.

  3. The idea (Synopsis – whole film) • Children are taken from their families at birth, they’re taken to different colonies depending on their birth year where they’re raised to perform specific tasks and not ask questions why/ what is going on anywhere else. They’re being trained to create weapons and win wars, the story follows a child who is progressing through the programme, from when they're first taken to when they're preparing to go to war. • Opens on child walking down a corridor, they pass doors on either side of them as the floor is lit in different colours for each door they pass. Can see the head move from side to side, looking at the signs on the doors – as the head moves to look at each sign, there is a shot of what the signs say. “2143 – 2144 – Ammunition”, “2148-2149 - Masks” etc. The figure moves through the corridor and enters the door at the end labeled “2153 – 2154 – Front Line”.

  4. Visual Cues (Colors/images)

  5. Influences • Everything, Everything – the idea of being trapped in a place and being influenced through only a few people & you learn everything from them. • Star Wars - based in a different galaxy/ imaginary location.

  6. The practical considerations • We would find a building with a plain corridor with lots of doors and the possibility to place lights without them being seen in frame. • We would have one actor to be in the opening sequence, either a younger person or a smaller Hurtwood student to represent a 11/12/13 year old in the opening sequence.

  7. Stranger

  8. The Genre • Thriller / mystery • Suspenseful and keeps the audience on the edge of their seat.

  9. The idea (Synopsis – whole film) • We are introduced to a teenage girl living a normal life or what she thinks is a normal life, what she doesn't know is she has a secret admirer more dangerous than most others. As the audience from the start, we know that she has a stalker, and we see her start to realize. As the stalker starts to become more obsessed, he they eventually kidnap her, and we follow her along in her struggle to escape the clutches of this stranger person.

  10. Visual Cues (Colours/images) • A big wall of hundreds of photos of blonde teenage girls. • OPENING SEQUENCE- a series of P.O.V shots of the girl being photographed through an actual camera lense so that we can see she is being photographed mixed in with glitch shots of the photo that has been taken being pinned to a wall along with many others.

  11. Influences • After watching the Netflix show you where you follow a stalker and know who he is from the very start, I wanted to add more mystery by only knowing the stalkers prey and not who the stalker themselves are.

  12. The practical considerations • Where? • Debating between isolated places such as an empty parking lot or a busy crowded place like a town taking more time for the audience to realize who we are meant to be following. • Who? • A teenage girl around the age of 16, blonde and average height, along with many other images of similar looking girls. The stalker themselves are not seen just their hands.
