  1. How Vegan Clothing Became Mainstream Fashion has always played a significant role in modern history. From the flapper dresses in the 1920s to the hippie movement in the 1960s, clothing is one of the most influential aspects of society. And now, things such as vegan accessories are taking the world by storm. How vegan clothing became mainstream The 21st century saw the rise of sustainable solutions in almost every industry. In fashion, this meant using more environmentally friendly materials such as vegan products to protect animal welfare. The demand for vegan accessoriesand clothing has grown so exponentially that even the biggest names in fashion have begun to recognize it. According to Vogue magazine, in 2019, the stock of vegan fashion products rose by over 250% in the US and UK, and this figure is only expected to increase further. The benefits of using vegan materials for clothing Vegan fabrics are used primarily as alternatives for animal-based materials such as leather and wool. For example, organic cotton is a popular substitute known for its soft feel and easy maintenance. Other examples of vegan fabric include linen, beech tree fiber, synthetic leather, and hemp. But are there any benefits in switching from “genuine” materials to vegan alternatives?  Sustainability Vegan materials are generally eco-friendlier than their animal-sourced counterparts. For example, studies have shown that 40% of consumers believe that vegan leather is more sustainable than animal leather. This is because they are made from less harmful sources, such as pineapple or plastic.  Quality You don’t have to worry about the quality of vegan accessories. Although they aren’t made from “genuine” leather or wool, they can still withstand the test of time.

  2. Leading brands offer plant-based and synthetic products crafted with care, even supporting local artisans and non-profit organizations.  Cost-effectiveness Vegan materials are much easier to obtain than animal-based fabric. For example, did you know that one cowhide only makes 18 leather shoes? Besides being unsustainable, this process is costly. In comparison, vegan materials such as; polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyurethane (PU) can easily be synthesized in the lab. As a result, many people believe these products are more innovative, saving millions of dollars in production costs. Are you looking for high-quality, sustainable vegan accessories to add to your inventory? Consider working with an experienced supplier providing access to the world’s most loved brands and the latest trends!
