  1. Diwali Trends - Shine On Diwali is one festival when women turn to jewellery in a big way! Keeping in mind the aesthetics of the modern Indian woman, jewellers across India present an assortment of enticing jewels – from plain gold temple jewellery to enamelled or gem-studded jewels that will be a fitting part of your celebrations this season. While temple jewellery is an evergreen option for women pan India, contemporary polki and enamelled pieces are gaining momentum. Yogesh Bulchandani, CEO, Diamantina Fine Jewels. “These versatile pieces can be paired with traditional as well as Indo-western garments. We often team polkis with colourful gemstones, pearls and meenakari in floral patterns to create an aura of timelessness.” Both floral and structured patterns are in vogue. Anand Shah, ace gold jewellery designer, says that he has concentrated more on bigger pieces with detailed gold flowers that glorify nature. “I’ve used rubies and emeralds to add colour to the collection.” Sunil Datwani, Founder, Gehna, continues to play with modern silhouettes enhanced with fancy-cut diamonds. Soft, pastel shades of enamel and gemstones continue to remain popular, and large and small polkis, too, are favoured in statement pieces. Here’s Solitaire’s edit of magnificent jewels for Diwali.
