Republic of Texas History ComplexWhere Texas History Happened • Complex will unite Republic of Texas History Center (RTHC) with French Legation Museum • RTHC will include DRT Headquarters, Republic of Texas Museum, Republic of Texas Family Research Center, visitor center, gift shop, theater, and meeting and conference accommodations • Naming opportunities in RTHC are available for donations at levels of $50,000 and larger

Background to CollectionsDRT Collections in Separate Locations • The Republic of Texas Museum,* created in 1894, has collections of documents, artifacts, dioramas, statues, and early Texas items • The DRT Association collection represents 100+ years of memorabilia • The French Legation Museum, the oldest wooden structure in Austin, holds collections from the 1840s through the Robertson family era (1940s) * Includes Children’s Interactive Museum (CIM). In RTHComplex, CIM will be re-located to Carriage House, FLM.
