  1. How can help poor kids with their education?

  2. SPONSOR A CHILD • You can change the life of a child from a poor and vulnerable family when you donate for education through Child Sponsorship. Every time you sponsor a child, you donate for education of the child and gift them a future. • “I want to grow up to be a Civil Servant and serve my community at a level that I can’t do now,” asserts Sudha, a sponsored child of World Vision India in Delhi. This bubbling 14-year-old is already leading change in her community for women and girls and her inspiration has been just one entity – her sponsorship through World Vision India’s Child Sponsorship programme.Sudha’s parents moved to the bustling city life over 20 years ago to earn a little higher income than they would earn in the village. Her father, Santhosh, earns a meagre income of INR 400 – 500 per day at a clothes shop in Delhi’s marketplace, while her mother, Pinky, is a homemaker.WhenSudha first became a sponsored child, she was only 6-years-old.  • Sudha shares about her passion, saying, “After I joined children’s group and child parliament, I realised that there are so many people out there who need help – not just me.” Adding that her aim is to empower women and girls with knowledge about their rights, so that they live empowered lives.Sudha and other children from their community are raising awareness on Sustainable Development Goals, to ensure their community is a safe place for all children.

  3. DONATE FOR EDUCATION • Education supplies like books, bag and stationary that she received from World Vision helped her continue her studies without any difficulty, because her father didn’t have to spend money on her education. • Education is the key to many opportunities and the door to success. Many children in India do not have access to quality education or drop out of schools owing to distances and financial crisis at homes. Let’s come together to donate for education and sponsor a child through World Vision India’s Child Sponsorship programme.

  4. CHILD SPONSORSHIP • Earlier, her father would also stop Sudha and her younger sisters, Neetu (11) and Kanak (8) from going outside because they are girls. However, ever since her parents attended parenting trainings provided by World Vision India’s Child Sponsorship, his understanding regarding their rights and abilities has changed. Now he allows them to go out without hesitation. • Sudha shares about her passion, saying, “After I joined children’s group and child parliament, I realised that there are so many people out there who need help – not just me.” Adding that her aim is to empower women and girls with knowledge about their rights, so that they live empowered lives. • Children like Sudha can fulfil their dreams and be empowered when you sponsor a childthrough World Vision India’s Child Sponsorship programme.

  5. That is why your help to Sponsor a Child and Donate for Education will make a difference for children like Sudha. Donate for education and Sponsor a Child today! Sponsorship has not only empowered Sudha to be a change-agent in her community, but it has also eased the financial burden in her family.
