Born on 24 June 1962, into an affluent Gujarati family inAhmedabad, India, Gautam Adani's path from childhood poverty to emergence as one of India's wealthiest individuals is an ode to ambition, invention, and unshakable persistence.

  3. EARLY LIFE AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT Gautam Adani's entrepreneurial spirit was evident from a young age. He was keen in the business industry but never showed interest in his father’s textile business. Being an ardent entrepreneur at heart, in1988, Adani established his company, Adani Enterprises, which became the centrepiece of the Adani Group.

  4. MUNDRA PORT- THE GAME CHANGER Gautam Adani's career completely took off in the 1980s, when he identified possibilities in India's increasing infrastructure demands. He opted to get into the infrastructure business, with the goal of constructing a world-class port. In 1998, he started constructing Mundra Port, located on the northern banks of the Gulf of Kutch in Mundra in Gujarat's Kutch region.
