This study explores the antidepressant and antioxidant potential of protein extracts from beans and eggs, highlighting their efficacy in preclinical mouse models. Both macronutrient and micronutrient extracts demonstrated notable antidepressant effects, particularly at higher saturation levels. Antioxidant activity was confirmed through the hydrogen peroxide test, while acute toxicity assessments indicated overall safety, except for higher concentrations of bean extracts.
