This study examines the impact of polycarboxylate ether (PCE) superplasticizers on the properties of cement-based mortar, including workability, heat release, and mechanical strength. Two PCEs with different chemical structures were tested at varying dosages to determine their compatibility with cement and suitability for different climates. Results indicate that low dosages enhance hydration and heat production, while high dosages delay setting and reduce final heat release. The superplasticizer with high carboxylic density demonstrated the best compressive strength at 7 and 28 days.<br>
