The international characteristics of current business world demand managers of firms to be conscious of interactions with the larger community in addition to concerns of efficiency in the local area of operations. Managers need to develop the art of negotiating with international counterparts, be innovative to avail of the numerous opportunities that arise in the course of the business and be capable of assuming leadership roles. Towards this end, our program starts instilling a practical approach to management with yearly courses on inculcating professionalism and ethical behavior. After obtaining a foundational block of courses, the students attend a wide variety of functional courses ranging from marketing to finance to operations management to suit their interests and aptitudes in order to prepare well to enter the job market.

Our stress during the first year in English proficiency, in writing, composition and public speaking prepares the students to face the globalized Indian business environment with utmost confidence. In addition, we have instructions and labs to get a foreign language proficiency in a popular language such as Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic. The students are required to attend a year of the language courses. Language lab facilities are available for all students to practice their learning comprehension and speaking ability. This vastly improves their chances of obtaining foreign assignments and jobs in multinational companies based in India and Glocal will work with all students to facilitate them. To round up the education for developing an informed and dynamic personality, we require the students to attend courses on humanities and one course in professional ethics

Pedagogy The pedagogy of the programmed curriculum emphasizes learning through discovery rather than classroom instructions alone, real life problem-solving through case studies instead of note-learning and critical thinking and questioning as opposed to just acquiring information. In other words, the curriculum emphasizes more on students to apply their knowledge and learn to grow and enrich themselves to become successful managers. In this pursuit, activities such as live projects, field assignments and simulation games form an integral part of this programme. In addition to this, there are built-in component of in-depth exercises that helps students to gain a holistic perspective and a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary business environment.  For overall personality development, outside classroom activities such as debates, dramas, sports are equally important. Therefore, Glocal’s vibrant campus life provides students with such options along with exclusive access to its state-of-the-art sporting facilities

Distinctive Features • World-class Faculty • We have a highly skilled and qualified faculty staff, hailing from some of the best universities in the world in addition to their wealth of experience. This gives our students a chance to learn from the best in the industry. We will have world renowned visiting faculty from major universities around the world to give lectures of short and long durations. • Foreign Languages • In order to prepare students for international challenging careers, the University offers state-of-the-art, foreign language centers. The languages taught presently, include Spanish, Arabic and Mandarin (Chinese). Students are encouraged to learn at least one of the languages. • Personality Development • To be successful as a business leader it is important to have a well rounded and informed in worldly matters. We provide opportunities to develop this through breadth requirements in humanities, proficiency in a foreign language, exposure to visitors from all walks of life, interactions with students from other areas and arranged visit to industries in India and foreign countries.  To ensure all-round development and enabling to realize one's full potential, the curriculum embeds mandatory evening or weekend participation in extra-curricular activities such as debates, dramatics and pursuit of hobbies. 

  6. In the second year, there will be one required course on professional responsibility and ethics.  We believe in business as a force for creating social good around the world. Emphasis on professional responsibility coupled with high standards of ethics is important in the modern world with differing cultural and social norms for business practice. This course places an integrated focus on ethical and legal responsibility in business, providing deeper and more challenging frameworks to guide your managerial decisions. The others are electives chosen by students to specialize in areas they have interest in.  Specialization in area consists of 3 courses. The list of courses will be available prior to the end of the first year to enable the students to choose effectively.  Electives can be taken in other areas in the university such as engineering, media and culture studies, law, education. Opportunities will be explored for students to spend up to a semester in a foreign university and obtain course credits.
