  3. SITiE AND USER GUIDE • Approved Use • Magnetic Hardwood Flooring is designed for commercial use in educational establishments, retail, leisure and offices. This includes • installation in areas where food or drinks are consumed or directly connected to outside entrances. • Installation • Magnetic Hardwood Flooring must secure magnetically to the supporting steel encapsulated raised floor panels to ensure that the desired look is achieved. The correct installation of the steel encapsulated raised floor system is critical to guarantee that connectivity is optimized. The installation tolerance between each adjoining raised floor panels should be between 0.3 mm - 0.75 mm. At the completion of installation of the steel encapsulated system the tolerances must be checked before commencing installation of the floor. • Once the raised floor is installed and commissioned, the installation of Magnetic Luxury Wood Tiles can commence if the following criteria are followed: • The raised floor surface must be clean, free from dust, any existing carpet tackifier, bonded debris and any damage that has created high points on the raised floor panel's surface. • Relative Humidity of the project site must be maintained between a minimum 40% maximum 60% • Temperature setting must remain at constant level between 5° C and 30° C without drastic changes in temperature. • Ensure all windows, openings & external doors are fully • functioning, are watertight & the building is free from water ingress • All heavy works on the site have to be completed before • installing Magnetic Hardwood Flooring, we suggest completing • the following works using the steel raised panels as a working platform. • Installation of ceilings and lighting • Installation of partition walls • Completion of mechanical and electrical works. • Do not open the packaging prior to installation. Store and • acclimatize the unopened boxes inside in a horizontal position on a clean and debris free surface. • Just open prior to installation, inspect the board in daylight for any visible faults or damage. • To achieve a regular distribution of MHF flooring, we • recommend installing from two or three different packs at the same time • Waste Allowance • Minimum of 5% cutting allowance should be counted for a staggered joint layout & running bond however a minimum of 10% should be considered for herringbone and geometricalpattern. 4. Expansion Joints A 6 mm gap around the perimeter is required, this can be infilled with black Class O neoprene when masked by a skirting board or positioned against glazing. In open spaces, an 8 mm wide color matched silicone expansion joint must be included every 1O m on the width of the Magnetic Luxury Wood Tiles and every 35 m in length (with geometrical pattern expansion joint position must be agreed prior the installation) Magnetic Hardwood Flooring should only be lifted with the appropriate lifting device.Once one piece of Magnetic Hardwood Flooring is removed, then the adjoining boards can be removed by hand if required. Under no circumstances should hard objects be used to lift the magnetic hardwood flooring, as this could potentially result in damage to the protective edge band and its beveled edge. Regular Cleaning:DryCleaning It is usually sufficient to clean your Magnetic Hardwood Flooring dry using a dust mop, soft broom or vacuum cleaner with soft wheels. In addition, damp cleaning can always be carried out as required. Damp WipingWith Natural Floor Soap Natural Floor Soap should be used for regular maintenance of the Magnetic Hardwood Flooring. This is a diluted soap solution that does not form a layer on the floor's surface. It achieves excellent cleaning results that preserves the natural beauty of the floor. The floor should not be damp cleaned during the first two weeks after initial installation, to enable full acclimatization. Damp mopping can then proceed on a regular basis, as required. Always avoid letting water stand on the surface. Steam cleaning machines are not suitablefor cleaning Magnetic Hardwood Flooring. Please note full cleaning and maintenance procedures can be provided upon request. After laying, it is necessary to maintain the appropriate climatic conditions: air temperature between 18°C and 22°C and air humidity between 40% and 60%. RH outside 40% & 60% range can cause cracks on the top layer, micro fracture (bristles), and detachment of the plank from the metal support.
