  1. Beyond Biomechanics 2341 Dulles Station Blvd #008, Herndon, VA 20171, United States +1 703-347-4269 Gym Near me How to Choose the Correct Gym For many exercise fanatics, the gym is a place where you visit almost everyday for your workouts - where you do all your aerobic and anaerobic exercises, as well as your warming up and cooling down stretches. So you are essentially going to spend a lot of time in that area. The question is this - how do you select a gym that best fits your needs? There are many options available when it come to choosing a gym. You can choose from the large chains, to the one at your health club, or even the boutique ones that only operate in your area. There are many factors to consider when picking a gym, so be sure you go through these tips before you sign up for your year long membership. 1. Location - this is by far the most important of all these factors. Reason being, if a gym requires you to go out of the way or travel 3 hours just to get to, chances are that you will experience so much "pain" just traveling there, that you won't want to make a trip there everyday. Try to pick one that is easily accessible, whether if it is near your home or your workplace. 2. Cleanliness - the last thing you want to get by going to a gym is to fall sick. Cleanliness and hygiene in the gym is very important. Check to make sure that the gym does not smell of sweat, and that the locker rooms are fresh and clean. 3. Cost - can you afford it? Gym memberships do not come cheap, at least to the average earning executive, so be sure that you can afford to pay the membership fees without digging too deep into your pockets. As a guide make sure that paying for the gym membership does not affect you and your family lifestyle in any way. In other words, don't sacrifice just to go to the gym. 4. Facilities - does the gym feature the necessary machines for what you need? Is there a sauna or a steam room, if you wish to relax after your workout? Also check outside the gym - is it easy to find parking space? 5. Opening Hours and Crowd - does the gym open at the times you are going to go there? If it is a 24 hour facility, are all of the amenities and facilities you need available when you are there? Check out the crowd during the times you will be working out, would you be able to use the particular machine all the time, or do you have to wait 20 minutes for the previous user to finish up his / her workout all the time?

  2. Remember, if you are just starting out a routine to get to the gym, most of the time, it is tough enough to want you to take time off to just go to the gym, selecting wrong gym that is terribly inconvenient, or finding one that irks you, whether in the area of cleanliness, lack of facilities, or waiting time is not going to help much by give you more excuses to skip your workout.
