  2. 5 Simple Methods To Eliminate Rodents From Your Home Rodents are not only a nuisance, they could also pose serious health problems to you and your loved ones if they make it into your home. This makes it imperative that you drive out any that may have got into your home. Here are 5 simple methods to eliminate rodents and pest controlfrom your home 1. Walk the plank 2. Peppermint oil 3. Bait trap 4. Bucket trap 5. Glue on a sheet

  3. Walk The Plank Contrary to what the name may imply, this doesn’t involve you walking along a plank. Rather you need to have a bucket or ontainer over which you have kept a couple of small planks in such a manner that the edges of the planks lead into the abyss that’s the container. You just have to keep some food towards the edge of a plank and the rodent would simply fall into the bucket because of the weight it exerts on the plank.

  4. Peppermint oil Peppermint is to rodents what garlic is to vampires(For those who haven’t yet read/seen Dracula, garlic repels vampires. Seriously though, you should read the book.). The repellant quality of peppermint can be put to good use by applying peppermint oil on pieces of cloth and leaving them in different places of the house.

  5. Bait trap The oldest trick in the book, but one that’s still effective. And the best part is that you don’t even have to make one yourself- there are a wide array of bait traps available in the market: Giving you a glimpse of the variety that human ingenuity could bring into this world. Once you bring one home, all you have to do is place some food for attracting the rodent and wait, wait for the sound of that delicious snap(insert evil laughter here).

  6. Bucket trap If you feel like doing something with your own hands and making a trap, you can do that easily with a few things that may already be lying around in your house. To make a bucket mouse trap, first of all, insert a dowel in a cylindrical can. Then place this structure over a high bucket. After that, place the food on the cylinder. When the rodent comes and stands on the can, it’ll slip and fall into the bucket. You can either throw it out alive or if you wanna eliminate it, you can do that by simply adding an acidic solution into the bucket.

  7. Glue on a sheet This is a simple method but one which can have a surprisingly effective result. The idea involves putting sheets of paper pasted with hard glue around the food that’s placed for the benefit(no pun intended) of the rodent. The rodent would get stuck in the glue which would slow them down which would help you capture it. If you don’t like the idea of gluing the papers, them you can simply get sticky sheets that are available in the market.
