The Manifesto for Agile Software Development Often referred to as simply – The Agile Manifesto, this document was written by a group of software development luminaries with the intent of improving the poor implementation of IT project management in the IT industry. These ideas have since gained popularity and agile practices are now used in almost every industry world-wide. Learn more about how the principles from the Agile Manifesto can be applied to the management of agile projects by taking an Agile Project Management course. The Agile approach The introduction to the Agile Manifesto reads: “We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:” “Individual & interactionsoverprocesses & tools.” “Working softwareovercomprehensive documentation.” “Customer collaborationovercontract negotiation.” “Responding to changeoverfollowing a plan.” “That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.”
