  2. E Enterprise Mobility: Embracing the Inevitable E nterprises across the world are going mobile and so are the employees. In the recent trends it has been observed that employees expect more flexibility from the organization on the basis of their working routine. What makes it possible? The smartphones in your hand. According to GSM Association, 5.13 billion people on earth are using mobile devices including cell phones, tablets and cellular enabled IoT devices. So, next time you go to your boss to ask for a Work From Home policy, you might wanna use the above figures. But chances are he may offer you a Bring Your Own Device strategy, which is even better keeping efficient mobility in mind. However, either of the cases would turn into a complex task for the firm due to the consequences that come from mobility of devices. Enabling access of data on employees’ personal devices could lead to several issues including risk of security breaching and loss of data due to malware attack. However, mobility is significant and as of now, inevitable. So, how do the organizations manage to get rid of these issues? Enter Enterprise Mobility Management(EMM)! EMM is a mix of various technologies and processes that enables employees mobile access to their company’s apps and files. It also offers the enterprises, control over several aspects of mobile functions. With the help of EMM, an organization can control when and where an application can be run by the employee; security of corporate data from stolen devices and management of network by integrating all the devices into an organized structure. An efficient Mobility management strategy helps the employees to keep the personal and professional life separated in their personal devices by bifurcating official work on a separate portal. It also offers threat management and better security by

WidePoint Corporation (NYSE American: WYY) introduced TM2 – Trusted Mobility Management – to enable organizations to secure, manage, and analyze the mobile environment with enhanced support for their employees. Jin Kang, President and Chief Executive Officer of WidePoint explains, “TM2 converges at the intersection of WidePoint’s proprietary, industry leading Telecom Lifecycle Management (TLM), Mobile and Identity (IdM) Management, and Digital Bill Presentment & Analytics solutions. Merging these solutions into a customizable offering to simplify and secure the provisioning and experience of enterprise mobility management is the idea of TM2.” WidePoint was established in 1997 as a technology holding company. WidePoint has grown from individual small businesses to a public company operating within the microcap environment, emerging as a leading provider of trusted technology solutions. The company has coalesced around providing TM2. Mr. Kang states, “TM2 is a set of three integrated services that are critical to large enterprises that need to manage, secure, and gain visibility into all aspects of their mobility assets. It’s not enough for an enterprise to

  11. implement one or two of these three services. By delivering these services in an integrated fashion by subject matter experts utilizing a state-of-the-art service delivery portal in a secure environment, TM2 consolidates and revolutionizes mobility management.” WidePoint is the leading provider of customized TM2 solutions to the U.S. public sector, delivering unrivaled data security for enterprise mobility management. From small business roots, WidePoint focused on telecom and mobile expense management, access management, and invoice processing and analytics. Customer engagement led the company to understand that enterprises lacked tools, automation and subject matter expertise to perform needed functions. Mr. Kang recognized an opportunity to unify the company’s offering into a secure management solution. His vision for consolidating WidePoint’s solutions – TM2 – led to significant resource, talent and financial investment to earn stringent federal accreditation and credentials, enabling WidePoint to disrupt the enterprise mobility management landscape. Enterprises seeking solutions are no longer faced with needing to unify disconnected solutions. WidePoint empowers enterprises by delivering trusted mobility management that is customized and backed by enhanced security. Enhanced Accountability, Usability and Security WidePoint has defined and established many of the best practices being implemented by enterprise mobility and identity management programs throughout the United Jason Holloway President

  12. States. Best Practices are committed to delivering enhanced accountability, transparency, usability and security. By combining enterprise mobility best practices of people, processes, and technology, WidePoint’s TM2 delivers the single most comprehensive solution for managing and securing mobile devices, machine-to-machine devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. ITMS™ is the backbone of TM2. ITMS™ was developed to meet the stringent data security protocols and protections required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of Defense. Key certifications and processes confirm WidePoint’s commitment to delivering a level of data security unrivaled in the mobile management industry. “TM 2 increases accountability and delivers operational efficiencies,” adds Todd Dzyak, President, WidePoint Integrated Solutions Corporation.“TM2 combines WidePoint’s proprietary management platform ITMS™ with expert services. ITMS™ provides visibility into mobile assets and usage. ITMS™ is designed to support secure user-friendly interactions that fulfill an organization’s unique goals.” Traditional enterprise mobile management offerings typically only manage cell phone, smartphone, and data plans. Through TM2, WidePoint manages the complete mobile inventory. WidePoint’s offering not only manages the plans and usage and optimizes an organization’s costs but also manages the lifecycle of the equipment and the software licensing. Additionally, WidePoint provides a secure Identify Management solution for the organization’s smartphones and IoT devices, ensuring that the device user and the device itself are trustworthy. “The most common threats to an enterprise’s sensitive data are attempted by internal employees and/or their computing equipment. Loose or unenforced policies can lead to hackers gaining access to an employee’s device. If a hacker gains access to a device through an easily guessed password (or no password protection at all) then the organization’s network can be compromised,” explains Jason Holloway, President of WidePoint Cybersecurity Solutions Corporation. “WidePoint’s digital certificate solution adds enforceable access policies for access to an employee’s device. A WidePoint device certificate provides the organization’s network a validation that the device that is attempting to communicate to the servers is an approved device which has not been cloned or spoofed.” Todd Dzyak President

  13. WidePoint Trusted Mobility Management (TM2): Securing, Managing and Analyzing the Mobile Environment. Serving the Mobile Workforce. Revolutionizing Mobility Management “There is not another mobility management solution in existence today that has the Federal Accreditations that TM2 has achieved. What makes TM2 so disruptive? By combining security, management and visibility into one enterprise solution, WidePoint is revolutionizing the experience of enterprise mobility management,” states Mr. Kang. WidePoint has also established a strong Partner Solution program to vet new technology solutions. WidePoint remains vendor agnostic and recognizes that even though there may be a dominant solution today, competitors will inevitably arise in the marketplace. What may be a good solution today may not be the best solution tomorrow. Committed to Excellence As the founder of the leading provider of TM2 solutions to the U.S. public sector, Jin Kang is sought out by industry and government leaders to provide insight and perspective on some of the most important enterprise mobility management programs and challenges facing the nation. As a first-generation American who immigrated to the United States at the age of 8, Mr. Kang focuses his talents and vision on contributing excellence to helping ensure that the future of mobility delivers on its promises of efficiency, flexibility and accessibility. Security: The integrated PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) – A set of roles, policies, and procedures needed to create, manage, distribute, use, store and revoke digital certificates and manage public-key encryption – is currently the highest level of security adopted by the Federal Government and the U.S. Department of Defense. Management: The customizability of WidePoint’s mobility management platform, ITMS™. And Visibility: The analytics necessary for an enterprise to gain visibility into its expenses and usage. What makes Jin Kang an influential industry figure and company leader? “Jin fosters a culture of transparency for both external and internal stakeholders. He is guided by an unwavering sense of integrity that breeds trust and creates a cohesive team that can move mountains,” says Mr. Holloway. “WidePoint’s culture of ethical behavior starts from the top down. Jin and the entire executive and senior management staff value hard smart work, exceptional skills and experience and the ability to apply those skills for the betterment of WidePoint, our clients and society.” Mr. Kang continues,“As TM2 sets the standard for the Federal Government, commercial enterprises and regulated industries seeking a secure mobility management solution are also turning to WidePoint.” Adapting, Configuring and Integrating Change The mobility environment is in constant change. 16. 4 Trends that will make Language Solutions a big part of Biotech and Globalization T to be successful in global markets. Moreover, emerging markets in non-English speaking countries such as Brazil, Russia and Turkey has only increased the need for “Strategic Language Partnerships”. Navigating through regulatory requirements and Clinical Trial documentation in foreign languages seem like a daunting task just from the sound of it. An increasing number of companies prefer to outsource the language requirements in order to speed up approvals and decrease rejections. With the current trends in the Pharma and Biotech Markets, we suspect the need to only increase. There are four definite areas that point towards the prominent role of language in the coming years. he growth of China and Japan as leading markets for the Pharma and Biotech industry has made language an important factor for companies looking the probable exception of India, other regions won’t have English as their language of choice which makes language intervention an absolute necessity. The Increasing Involvement of China The recent regulatory change in China has paved the way for more globally accepted drugs to be launched in China. However, they will still need to undergo the regulatory process as usual. We expect an increased effort from Pharma companies to launch more drugs in China which is the second largest Pharmaceutical market in the world. Biotech is also booming in China with the help of conscious Government support. There seems to be no shortage of investment either in this regard. Hence, you can expect BioTech companies to have a keen interest in expanding their focus to China in the coming years. Based on this, we foresee the demand for translation between English and Simplified Chinese to rise in the near future. Also, it will be wiser for companies to outsource their documentation requirements since adhering to the stringent protocols in Chinese will not be easy. Emerging Markets have More Promise Since established markets in US and Europe have very little room for smaller players, SMEs are growing more confident that growing markets are a better investment. Pricing pressures and slower growth means that Big Pharma companies are also evaluating untapped markets. Among the top emerging markets, BRIC economies stand out the most with the probable addition of Mexico and Turkey. While China is already competitive, the others in the list are viewed as geographies with tremendous opportunity. However, growing economies have their own challenges. Underdeveloped infrastructure and unique regulations mean that entry and success in these markets are more complex than they may seem. Seeking drug approvals in different geographies also means that Pharma companies will have to process multiple sets of clinical trials in each country. With The Rising Influence of the Patients As patients become more aware and educated about the drugs they take, Pharma companies are forced to consider a patient-first business model to cope with their dynamic expectations and demands. Companies are considering smartphone apps and online portals to stay connected with patients. With more sophisticated technological options being made available with every passing day, a range of health services can be offered to patients at their convenience. These tools also serve as a great way to acquire patient data, maintain them and gain useful insight. 18 August 2019 www.insightssuccess.com

  17. Industry Glimpse However, replicating this approach in other geographies will need language support. App and Software localization requires deep understanding of cultural nuances in order to be executed successfully. Apart from this, promotional and informational collateral also need to be tailored and edited in order to appeal to consumers in various geographies. This not only includes physical collateral but also digital materials. Hence, as the focus shifts to the patient, there is certainly a rise in demand for language solutions expected from Pharma and Biotech companies. As pharma and biotech companies look to build their presence across different geographies, they will need to think about how they can take their digital assets along. Maintaining brand positioning and brand image across multiple regions is always going to be a challenge. Moreover, failure to understand cultural nuances and demand can be a cause for stunted growth. Companies that have the foresight to see the importance of a language solutions partner at this stage will have greater chances to succeed in new geographies. Managing the Digital Baggage While e-pharmacies are still in their infancy, there is enough reason to believe in their success in the near future. Globalization plans for e-pharmacies, is a long way away from being a topic of discussion. In the meanwhile, Pharma and Biotech companies still need to maintain their digital presence whose importance continues to grow in the grand scheme of things. This includes websites, social media positioning and online reputation management (ORM) among others. In recent times, we’ve received an increased demand for translation of marketing materials from companies like Abbott Healthcare and other Fortune 500 companies. About the Author Shilpa Mittal is the CEO of Ulatus, one of the world’s foremost language solutions providers. Shilpa is honoured with the prestigious “Best Woman Entrepreneur 2017” award by Golden Bridge in San Francisco. August 2019| 19 www.insightssuccess.com

  20. Innovative Companies in the Space Industry W hat do we call an area that is not limited to a single planet and has no physical boundaries? We call it the era of the emerging space resource industry. As humans, we became a spacefaring species 60 years ago when Russia launched Sputnik, the world’s first artificial satellite. We are the only species to achieve this milestone in the 4.5 billion year history of the earth. Later, the space industry began to develop after World War II, as rockets and satellites later found civilian purpose. theoretical engineers like Robert. H. Goddard, Wernher von Braun, and Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky, etc. Today, space endeavors are propelled by a new generation of entrepreneurs including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Robert Branson. There are some more major players and innovative companies with the vision of space exploration and are as follows: SpaceX- SpaceX was founded in 2002 and has reached worldwide popularity with their historic milestones in space exploration. It is already the world’s most high-profile commercial spacecraft company. The aim of SpaceX is to revolutionize the space technology, with the goal of enabling people to live on other planets. Its success has been worth appreciating. Falcon 9 launch vehicle and Dragon Spacecraft are some of its milestones. Dragon Spacecraft has helped with regular resupply missions for NASA space stations. Today, companies around the world are in transportation, energy sector, construction, hospitality, real estate, etc. and they are looking for their next growth opportunity. Space is quickly becoming a place where the industries that power our global economy have started conducting business. Future developments in the space industries include space tourism, satellite manufacturing, and the launch industry. In recent years, however, private spaceflight is becoming reality in the space industry. Blue Origin- It was founded in 2000 by Jeff Bezos, the technological retail entrepreneur and CEO of Amazon, aims to launch people in space. It is fully reusable, vertical takeoff vertical landing (VVTL) space vehicle. Though its goal is different from that of SpaceX, it targets the Space tourism industry. It is focusing on commercially available, suborbital human spaceflight and has developed a vertical launch vehicle (new shepherd) for it. New shepherd is named after the Mercury astronaut Alan Shepherd, the first Of course, these private companies also compete against each other and it could be argued that a new space race has begun. But while with an element of competition, the success of the past decades shows that is possible to collaborate in space. For example, NASA a major government agency has relied on privately operated launch services like SpaxeX for its satellite launches. The original space race began from the ideas and skills of visionary 24 August 2019 www.insightssuccess.com

Launched in 1999, Chandra has found evidence for a significant new class of supernova. It has also uncovered evidence of a powerful outburst from the giant black hole at the Milky Way’s center. Boeing- Boeing is the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer in space and security systems. Throughout the last 50 years, Boeing has been integral in every major endeavor to escape earth’s gravity. The satellite industry has made the headlines since the launch of its first Mercury capsule to the current ISS (International Space Station). NASA has a long tradition of utilizing Northrop Grumman’s spacecraft, including the Spirit and Opportunity rovers that landed on Mars in 2004. The rovers will help guide the Mars as it investigates the viability of microbial life on the planet now or in the past. NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) is the most powerful rocket ever built. Boeing is the prime contractor for the SLS design development, test, and production of the launch vehicle. SLS is the world’s only super heavy rocket capable of transporting astronauts to deep space. NASA is setting its eyes on the exploration of Mars with the help of Boeing technology. Boeing has successfully launched all of NASA’s Mars probes and rovers aboard Delta 11 launch vehicles. Recently Boeing engineer designed a spacesuit to protect astronauts from dust, radiation and other hazards when exploring the surface of moon and mars. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope will play an important role in studying planetary systems. NGC is the prime contractor for building the dreams of Webb technology. The telescope will be sensitive to infrared light which will enable it to understand an era of the universe just a few million years after the Big Bang. Made in Space- MIS is the space-based manufacturing company, dedicated to making of reliable Additive manufacturing equipment and fiber optics (MIS Fiber) for Space. Additive manufacturing is also known as 3D Printing and is transforming the industry. It can manufacture larger and more complex objects faster, with finer precision and with multiple aerospace grade materials. MIS Fiber Optics, on the other hand, is produced without crystals that affect signal loss. Later, these crystals provide superior data transmission capabilities, high-speed internet as well as enhancing technologies in space. Sierra Nevada Corporation- Selected by NASA, SNC’s Dream Chaser spacecraft is a multi-mission space utility vehicle. It used for transporting crew and cargo to LEO (Low Earth Orbit) destinations such as ISS (International Space Station). The system is designed to deliver up to 5,500 kg of pressurized and unpressurized cargo to the space station under the CRS (Commercial Resupply Service)-2 contract. It will carry supplies like food, water, & science experiments and returns to earth with a gentle runway landing. The spacecraft is selected by NASA to provide a minimum of 6 cargo missions to and from the space station by 2021. Sierra Nevada Corporation is making solid progress and likely to stay a key player in the private space company. Virgin Galactic- Virgin Galactic is a spaceflight company founded in 2004 by British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson. It is developing commercial space crafts and aims to provide suborbital spaceflights to space tourists. VG uses a larger, four-engine jet plane that carries passengers into space. It is similar in design to a private plane. These private space firms seem to have different interests in the space race, but actually, these companies share the same goals. Northrop Grumman Corporation- NGC is a leader in science and exploration in space for more than 60 years. Thiokol Chemical Company, now part of NGC developed the world’s first reusable space shuttle program in the late 1970s. Looking at the future, there will be a need for laws, regulation, and controlling authority to govern space exploration. It will be necessary to have firm and well- understood protocols in the event space crashing, while there are serious issues around the safety of astronauts as well. At the moment, the UN’s Outer Space Affairs is responsible for promoting international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space. Perhaps, the entry of the private sector into space exploration will contribute to the growth of the economy as valuable targets for investment. However, it will be interesting to see how healthy competition opens up in the development of the Space Era for Citizens. 22. Augview Making the Invisible, Visible improve the productivity of field operatives working outside on location. An AR based Solution for Businesses Augview is a downloadable application that enables utility and construction workers to view hidden underground assets or to-be-built assets, as a dynamic 3D model, on tablets, smartphones and AR (augmented reality) glasses, essentially making the invisible, visible. This discontinuous technology also enables civil engineering & design consultants and local government planners to view proposed constructions on location before committing to build. Businesses relying on geo-spatial information were, and to a large part still are, using old paper- based information when it comes to working on location, such as installing new infrastructure or maintaining utility network. They are not taking advantage of the smart mobile devices that their workforce already carry. Mike Bundock Founder & CEO “ Augview works by pulling asset data from both public and proprietary GIS databases, to create a dynamic 3D model of the network on-the-fly, based on the GPS location of the user. It then displays the model in the camera mode of handheld mobile devices, both iOS and Android. As the user moves around, so the model moves with them. Even when the GPS signal is lost, Augview’s surface tacking feature will enable the use to know where they are. Together with its multiple data capture and edit features, Augview can also be used to keep asset databases accurately updated in a timely and efficient manner. Like the shift from typewriters to email, in a few years, industry will wonder how it ever managed without AR After much research and leveraging the founder’s in-depth knowledge of surveying and GIS systems, the company developed a new augmented reality GIS product. This effectively shifts access to digital GIS information from solely an office workstation environment into something much more agile and portable; smartphone and tablet computing. This shift coincided with the rapid development of the functional capability of mobile devices. “ A disconnect in the market. Despite a large number of the workforce carrying mobile devices for communication purposes, these devices were not being used to ugview, an augmented reality software company was formed after noticing a 26 August 2019 www.insightssuccess.com

  23. Enterprise Mobility Solution Providers of 2019 The 10 Most Disruptive How it was Developed? Development of Augview was started as far back as 2012, when its Founder and CEO, Mike Bundock observed subcontractors in hard hats and hi-vis jackets staring at maps and bits of paper, scratching their heads trying to work out where they were standing and where to dig. It turns out that they were working for a local utility and they were standing 200 metres from where they were supposed to start excavating. it. Therefore, Augview has been able to offer additional services in the form of data extract and data translation that complement the core Augview product. useful to those working on location on the mines. Finally, it has been important that Augview remains a flexible product, adaptable to the needs of different customers and their data strategies. In this regard, Augview has been designed to read from multiple types of published data, both from proprietary and publicly accessible databases. Being Disruptive Augview completely leverages enterprise mobility. Most field workers out on location carry a mobile device which is suitable for using Augview. However, one of the reasons for the slower adoption rate amongst the utility and construction sectors in some countries is their current reliance on dial-before-you- dig service. Technically, Augview competes head on with this service and in the long run will render it redundant. So, for this particular market sector, Augview is completely disruptive. Augmented Future According to Augview, the single biggest event which will encourage mass adoption of AR in the industry will be launch of user-friendly augmented reality goggles. These devices will allow the users to experience applications like Augview with their hands free and remove the need for smart phones and tablets. Augview technology has already been configured with these devices in mind and the company anticipates that appropriate devices will be available in the market by 2020. Just recently Apple insiders have suggested a launch as early as late 2019. The Augview product was developed to address this problem and an early version was released on to the market as early as 2014. However, arguably this release was premature. The hardware devices available at the time did not have the necessary GPS and orientation capabilities built in, to allow the software to function to its potential. Customer-centric Approach The company believes that the best way to improve its quality is to ask for customer feedback and to act on it. Once it has made an improvement or added a feature, the best person to test the change is the least technical person in the organization. If it works for them, it will usually work for anybody. Throughout the journey the company also learnt that early adoption of the technology was driven more by a different target audience to that originally intended. While the utility and construction sector are now beginning to wake up to the benefits of AR technology, they were not the first to start embracing it. Augview initially gained more traction in unexpected sectors such as GIS consultancy and design companies, seeking to gain a competitive edge in their respective markets. This will result in shifting AR technology usage beyond just the innovators and early adopters, and into the hands of the majority of construction and utility organizations. Therefore, Augview sees significant growth potential over the next four years. Another key approach is to listen to, and understand, what prospect customers are saying about the problems they are trying to address in their own business. This has led to a number of new ways to configure data in Augview. For example, as a result of enquiries from the open-cast mining sector, Augview can now read their data and represent it in AR in a way that is meaningful and Another feature of the journey is the realisation that many organisations possess data but due to the proprietary nature of their databases, have difficulty doing anything with August 2019| 27 www.insightssuccess.com

  25. Expert’s Insights T Using a study from AT Kearney, it accounted for about 7.5% of GDP in 2016. The Logistics industry is made up of several subsegments including: he Logistics Industry is a key segment in several world economies, including that of the United States. flexible, connected, optimized supply chain. Customer expectations also continue to evolve with a greater need for immediacy, convenience and personalization at the core. AI, IoT, and Blockchain technologies have a major role to play in this evolution. Logistics, in general, involves a Chain of Custody where goods change hands between multiple parties. For instance, a Seller in China wishes to ship goods to a Buyer in the US. It is very likely that in this scenario the goods e.g. a Container will go through several intermediaries e.g. trucking companies, shipping companies before reaching the buyer. Ÿ Motor Carriers e.g. JB Hunt, Old Dominion Ÿ Parcel Delivery e.g. Fed Ex, UPS Ÿ Rail e.g. CSX, Norfolk Southern Ÿ Container Shipping e.g. Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd Ÿ Air Freight e.g. DHL, Martinair Ÿ Pipeline companies e.g. Enbridge, Kinder Morgan Ÿ Freight Forwarders e.g. Kuehne+Nagel, Sinotrans Ÿ Third Party Logistics e.g. CH Robinson, XPO Logistics Ÿ Warehousing Companies e.g. Ryder, Geodis At present, most of this journey is fairly opaque in that once the goods leave the custody of the Sender, there is very little insight as to its status until it arrives at the Buyer. When single companies handle the entire shipment e.g. FedEx, DHL etc then there is slightly more visibility through mobile notifications and web based tracking via tracking numbers. But when multiple carriers are involved, tracing and tracking becomes exponentially more difficult and is not being handled most effectively at present. Many of the players in the above list bleed over into the other segments and offer a broad product mix. Technology has continued to be the catalyst for change in the Logistics industry. New business models are being constantly developed and driving the industry towards a August 2019| 29 www.insightssuccess.com

  26. Source: NetObjex Inc Enter Blockchain to the rescue. Blockchain is a form of Distributed Ledger technology may be just what the doctor ordered when it comes to improving the transparency in the Logistics industry. Blockchain technology provides a transparent, tamper proof, and immutable ledger – three properties which could help mitigate several of the inefficiencies in Logistics. Before we examine Blockchain in detail, let us quickly list some of the common issues faced in Logistics: Ÿ Inefficiency e.g. goods not arriving on time Ÿ Loss e.g. goods perishing enroute due to improper handling Ÿ Theft e.g. goods being stolen due to lack of security measures Ÿ Counterfeiting e.g. goods being replaced with counterfeit goods Ÿ Fraud e.g. document fraud where documents such as bill of lading are modified With this context in mind, let us study how Blockchain can help in Logistics. First, blockchain technology is extremely useful in ecosystems involving multiple players who work with one another but there may be trust issues. The Logistics ecosystem easily qualifies in this regard. Second, most of what ails the ecosystem is a lack of accountability which is brought about by the lack of transparency. For instance, in the chain of custody, if all the ecosystem participants have their own information silos (either automated or otherwise), then there is a lack of a common set of truths or a common system of record. This leads to inefficiency, errors, and even fraud. Third, compound this already maligned ecosystem by saddling it customer requirements such as cold chain shipments where temperature has to be maintained within specific thresholds e.g. pharmaceuticals or wine. In all three cases, Blockchain is a perfect fit. First, it helps all ecosystem participants’ work off of the same data by sharing data across trust boundaries breaking down the silos on information. Second, when coupled with IoT technology for real time data acquisition, blockchain can be used for governance and accountability in Chain of Custody situations. For instance, in a cold chain shipment, one can easily ascertain which party was responsible for a shipping container while in transit when the temperature gauge reading went outside of the preset thresholds. Blockchain promises to be a game changing technology and something that is a very good fit for the Logistics business and all of its complexity. 30 August 2019 www.insightssuccess.com
