Voice over was first born when Canadian Reginald Fessenden invented a way to communicate from afar in 1900. He recorded his first test in 1906. While few have heard of Fessenden, a better known individual, Walt Disney, followed in his footsteps and recorded his voice so Mickey Mouse could say “Hot dogs!” in 1928. We have come a long way in quality of recordings and in the extensive uses of voicing over.
