  1. How do I get an EPR Certificate Introduction As now a day we are facing health issues day by day due to the increase in the level of hazardous smokes and plastic garbage. The plastic products which is not used by the consumers or the consumers have completely thrown it in garbage after using it so it can pollute the environment and we consider plastics as a non-biodegradable thing, which harms plants, humans as well as the humans. So to cub this problem the governments authorities has issued the guidelines and polices for the management of plastics wastes. What is meant by EPR The full form of EPR is Extended Producers Responsibilities. It is the responsibility of the producers of e gadgets will only to dispose the plastic wastage amicably and do the management of disposing it, which is not useful for the consumers. so that it will not harm the ecological environment, where we are living and breathing. EPR certificates are issued to the manufacturer and the importers of the products for the purpose of marinating and for doing the recycling of electronic wastages. Objectives of taking EPR certificates The Indian Governments has made it compulsory to the producers and manufacturers of electronic appliances which includes plastic materials, to have the certificate of EPR, so that the government can put the extended responsibilities upon the producers and the importers. The main objective or purpose of having ERP Registration to save the environment from hazardous waste and pollutions. Documents required for EPR certificates 1.There must be the business constitution proof of the entity. 2.The importer and exporter code must be there. 3.The ID or the national id proof of the proprietor or the authorized signatory of the company. 4.For proving the ownership there must be lase or rental proofs. 5.The full details of the products imported. 6.In case of the company, the MOA (Memorandum of Association), Certificate of Incorporation, PAN of the company as well as the Declaration of board for authorized signatory. Granting authority of the EPR certificate. In India the central pollution control board under MoEFCC, the government of India having the power to issues the EPR certificate to the companies and the Business entities of plastic producers. The EPR certificates is mandatory for the producers, dealers and other entities which are involved in doing segregation, re-furbishments and the recycling of the plastics wastages.

Benefits of EPR registration These are the following benefits of having the EPR registration certificates. a)The EPR helps the organizations in making the better decisions to use and recycle the plastics as well as the entities cares for disposing of the trash amicably by harmonizing the ecosystem. b)It is the strategy by the government authorities for protecting the environment by aiming to reduce the overall environmental impact of plastic materials or electronic materials like, washing machine, laptops, refrigerators AC etc. c)It also helps to improve the market regulation, as the authorization of EPR helps the organization and business entities to make the goodwill and the reputation in the market as they follow the norms and the guidelines issued by the governments. The Registration process of EPR authorization in India 1)The documentation process is the initial process of any registration, as the documents are the only way to prove anything or decide the validity. This process is done before the submission of the application and the applicant must have all the relevant documents prove like National ID card, PAN or in MOU, certificate of company etc. 2)The applicant must file the application in a prescribed manner and format, this step must mention the detailed information about the applicant. 3)There is the procedure for submitting the application in offline mode with detailed information of the dealer and the producers and EPR plan. 4)The next step is for scrutinization of the application. The CPCB authorities will scrutinise the application briefly and will further evaluate it for the approval. If in case the document submitted by the applicant is incomplete, then the authorities will respond the applicant with checklist within 25 days from the date of securitisation for the clarification purposes. 5)The last step is for granting the EPR approval, the chairman of the CPCB will approve the EPR plan after scrutinisation by concerned officials. After the approval procedure the divisional head shall issue the authorization of EPR. 6)The CPCB shall provide the EPR Certificate within 120 days of receiving the complete application by following the guidelines of e- waste policies and regulations. 7)The Agreement shall be signed for 1 year and the validity of the certificate is for 5 years from the day of authorization. Guidelines issued by the central pollution control Board for EPR registration. It is mandatory for the producers to have EPR registration certificate with proper authorization of authorities.

  3. The producers can implement the EPR by channelizing the e- waste materials. The producers must have the arrangements with the recyclers even with the producer’s responsibilities organization and individual capacity. The selling of electronic or plastic devices without the authorisation of EPR will be considered as the violation of rules and if the entity causing harm to the environment, then it will fall under the provisions of E(P) Act, 1986. EPR plan is the plan of implementation to the producers where the producers give the overall schemes to fulfil the EPR for achieving the targets. The authorities has stipulated the guidelines against the consumer’s bulk as well as Refurbishers. Conclusion. The guidelines provide the framework to strengthen the economy of plastic packaging waste and promoted the development. There must be the implementation of all the provisions regarding disposal of e-waste. There are existing laws regarding regulating the environment and pollutions, if it cannot be implemented strictly then it will be of no use.
