  1. MIM vs. MBA: Which one is it for you? The management field has flourished ever since the human resource development era with human relations movement taking a big turn towards the end of industrialisation period, industrialist as well as business began to understand the important of placing due attention on the management aspect of an organisation.

  2. To manage and improve the same, many academic courses were launched to train people in the art and science of management. Courses like MBA, MIM, etc. aimed to give budding professionals the knowledge and skills they would need to tackle all sorts of problems in the commercial world.

  3. With abundance of courses to choose from, the dilemma to decide upon has become quite prevalent among management students. To help students with the same here is a brief guide on MIM vs. MBA:

  4. Targetedaudience If we look at MBA and MiM courses at glance, we can understand that there is sharp difference int eh category of audience they attract.

  5. For MBA, working professionals who have few years of working experience and want to learn more field-specific skills are preferred but if we talk about then MiM then fresh graduates are a better choice. The reasons lie in the difference of course structure they have which helps achieve different sets of gaols for the students.

  6. Work experience As mentioned above, MBA degree courses often ask a certain year range of working experience from tis applicants. Without the same, they cannot clear the eligibility criteria for the course.

  7. The reasons behind such strict criteria is the point that MBA focuses on nurturing hands-on practical skills for its students which they would not be able to grasp of they do not have foundation work knowledge in the field they are aiming to work in. On the other hand, there no need to have work experience for MiM degree courses.

  8. Course structure The courses structure of MBA and MiM greatly differ. On one hand, MBA deals with more practical knowledge and case studies while on the other hand MiM deals with more theoretical knowledge of theories of management and all sorts of texts which can help the student gain deep insight on the field of management itself.
