    29. Summary of New Measurements

    30. DC measurements and Specs Cathode sensitivity: Sk > 50 uA/lm Skb > 7 uA/lm-B (equivalent to QE > 16% at 420nm) QE at 350 nm > 16% (337nm, 384nm for preproduction) Gain and supply voltage: Standard operation at Gain = 2x105 High Voltage should be less than 2000 V for Gain=1x106 Dark current and stability: HV and Dark current will be measured at the following gains: 5x104, 2x105, 5x105, 1x106, 2x106 PMT should be stable at 1x106. This is defined by the following I_dark(G=1x106) < 20 nA. I_dark(G=1x106)/I_dark(G=2x105) < 10.0 I_dark(G=1x106) must be stable in time (no significant fluctuation). The test listed above will be performed for all the PMTs, prior to base attachment.

    31. Pulse Measurements and Specs Dark pulse and after pulse Measured at G=1x106 within 2 hours. Dark pulse rate (>0.25pe) <10KHz After pulse rate < 5% within the gate of 200nsec ~ 5,000nsec from the main signal. This is measured by taking the charge ratio of Q_after/Q_main. Pulse linearity (no measurement for ~3 months) Measured at Gain=2x105 Anode current should be linear within +-5% up to 50mA. Single PE resolution Measured at G=1x106 Pulsed light source must be tuned to have 90% pedestal, 10% signal for Poisson distribution of average 0.1 PE. Peak to Valley ratio > 1.2 Cathode and Anode Uniformity The test listed above will be performed for 1 out of 5 for the first 100 PMTs, then 1 out of 50 for the rest. UCLA will do the all (except 4.)
