  1. Netball Drills –Here’s How You Can Improve Your Attacking Skills https://www.netballcoach.tv/ What according to you is the toughest thing about Netball? Even though an answer to this question might vary from person to person, it is simply not fair – because for all those participating in the game or have been regular at it would know that this is not how the things at Netball function. One really needs to be consistent at the game to make the most of it and to get an idea of all that it includes. When talking about the tactic that needs most attention is shooting, which is also the reason why being regular at the netball drills is extremely essential. Here are the a few netball attacking drills that will help you get some idea about so as to excel in the attacking section of the game and finally to help your team win the match.

  2. 1. Lacing Drill – A successful attacker is the one who knows exactly how to put the opponent in a difficult situation and this is the particular drill that will help you get some knowledge on how you should be performing in the game. Further, this is the right drill that will teach you how to change the pace quickly and perform rather fancy feet work to dazzle the person in front of you For practice you should start by creating a line of cones which should be around 5 feet from one another, allowing the players to move properly. When the player begins the circuit, weaving into the cones, he should always make use of his outside foot to push off. Upon reaching the end of the cone line, the players should turn and complete another set of cone weaving. The idea behind this constant weaving of cones is to make everyone familiar with the necessary feet movements. Everything should be monitored using a stop watch and players should be given instructions on the areas that need improvements.

  3. 2. 180° turn– You will need 3 players to perform this attack drill and the presence of the cones as well. The cones, once again, will be used to point toward the desired direction. During this netball attacking drill the defender and the worker will have to stand one next to the other, their position starting from behind the feeder and to his side. The worker, instead of sprinting forward, will perform a half-turn backward to stop and block the defender, and then will do a pivot to get back forward and sprint away. Since this is the particular attack drill that will improve the speed, reaction time, and agility of the players it is most important for the coaches to train the players to get the best results during the game. 3. Running Evasions– This is the drill where three players are involvers who will start in a straight line, moving forward. The wing attack player will start by running one way, just to stop abruptly during his performance in order to change direction, just to continue running and changing direction again for one second, before meeting the pass. The same player will also start by running one way, stopping to change his direction and then continuing till he finally reaches the space for meeting the pass. Each time the attacker prepares his move, he will have to avoid being predictable, constantly changing his tactics, in order to wrong foot the marker.

  4. 4. 3 v 3 – During this drill the players are split into teams of three players each. The attacking drill is played on half court, 6 players use that half court. This attacking drill will have 2 teams, 3 players vs. 3 players. This is how the drill is performed – 1. Team 1 starts this drill by passing the netball to a team mate. 2. Teams must keep possession for as long as they can. 3. Team 1 uses a variety of passing drills. 4. The job of Team 2 is to gain possession of the netball by practicing their netball defence drills. For players who’re weak with the attacking portion of the game and need special help to get better can practice a few netball attacking drills, while getting whatever the required help that they need from the coaches and trainers. Make sure you’ve got all the information that you need before being a complete member of the netball team.
