  2. Jeffrey Sofich loves to be outdoors, and one of his favorite hobbies is fishing, specifically fishing for salmon. As a native Oregonian, he has discovered many great places in the Pacific Northwest to fish for salmon, but there are also many awesome places throughout other parts of the United States and Canada to fish for great salmon, as well as just enjoy some beautiful scenery and the fresh air of the outdoors.

  3. The aptly named salmon river in idaho is one of the best places for salmon fishing not just in the west, but in the entire country. It also happens to be a great place to find other fish, as well as hunt.

  4. For those who love to take the road less traveled, Homer, Alaska has amazing salmon fishing. The little town revolves around fishing, and there’s even a convenient water taxi service.

  5. On the east coast, Maine is a great place for a peaceful fishing trip, particularly the quiet and peaceful town of Sebago. Located on the Sebago Lake, fishers can enjoy not only a plethora of salmon and other fish, but also beautiful sunsets.

  6. For those in canada, the cascapedia river, located in quebec north of vermont and new hampshire, is chock-full of salmon. The area is also perfect for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of east coast cities like montreal and boston.
