  1. Helping you with group mentor coaching for transforming from an ACC to PCC coach The International Coaching Federation (ICF) provides three levels of coaching credentials which are considered gold standards in the life coaching industry, including ACC (Associate Certified Coach), PCC (Professional Certified Coach), and MCC (Master Certified Coach). ACC is the initial level of credential outlined by the ICF. A coach must attain a minimum of 60 hours of coach-specific training and be mentored by an experienced coach for additional feedback and guidance. However, many coaches aim for the second level, moving from ACC to PCC. Moving from ACC to PCC can take a while as one is required to receive coach- specific training of a minimum of 125 hours, including 10 hour group mentor coaching, from an experienced PCC or MCC coach. You also need to have at least 500 hours of coaching experience, following the start of your coach-specific coaching education. The mentee coach is mentored on their coaching style and approach aligned with the ICF’s core competencies, and expectations of a PCC coach. The PCC journey involves looking at the same core coaching competencies in a different way; it’s more experiential than theoretical. Transforming from ACC to PCC adds a definitive edge in getting coaching assignments, and makes coaches more confident in their coaching practice. ACSTH and Portfolio paths

  2. Going from an ACC to PCC can be taken either through ACSTH (Accredited Coach Specific Training Hours) program, or via Portfolio path. For the ACSTH path, mentor coaching and recorded coaching sessions for the performance evaluation need to be verified separately and included in the credential application, along with the program certificate and coaching experience hours. If non-ICF-accredited programs or Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units are to be used to meet the requirements of 125 coach-specific education, then you must use the Portfolio path for upgrading from ACC to PCC. For non-ICF accredited education, the program curriculum should be submitted with robust documentation to ensure that the education received meets the ICF standards. 10 hours of group mentor coaching Those looking to move from ACC to PCC need to take a 10-hour mentor coaching course from an experienced PCC or MCC coach.
