  2. Ebeneezer Scrooge • Sgrooge is a cold and caustic old man • He is tight with his money, or a miser. • He is lonely • He is rich

  3. Fred, Scrooge’s nephew • He is very merry • He is sincere • He is married • He is poor • He is almost the opposite of scrooge

  4. Bob Cratchit • He has a son named Tiny Tim • Tiny tim has a disease in his liver that makes his blood too acidic • He is poor • He works as Scrooge’s assistant

  5. The Spirits • There were three • The Ghost of Christmas Past • The ghost of Christmas Present • The Ghost of Christmas yet to come

  6. Charles Dickens as a young boy • Charles Dickens and his family were born pretty well off • He had 5 brothers and sisters • He was the oldest son

  7. Charles Dickens’ Adulthood • He was married once • His wife’s sister came to live with them • He loved her sister more than her • She died and he divorced his wife

  8. Charles Dickens’ Literature • It was in Chatham that Dickens was first introduced to the world of literature and drama. In 1823, his family moved to London, where his father was suddenly arrested for debt and incarcerated in Marshalsea Debtors' Prison. • He had to work in a blacker’s shop when his father was arrested
