  1. How to Rank a Website On Google Google never discloses the features a website should possess to be ranked on top by it. It has provided an SEO guide. What it has mentioned in it is very basic level knowledge of search engine optimization. It doesn’t help in all the cases of promoting a website. All Google discloses is that how particular changes to Google search engine algorithm will affect a website.

  2. Create content that really helps someone Google is focusing too much on quality. It wants to give best of the results to users searching with particular keywords or key phrases. It loves those pages which have high quality, relevant and contextual content. If your content attracts users, it can attract Google too.

  3. Mobile is future of computing technology We know mobile is getting more attention than desktop. For many users mobile / tab is the only personal computer they have. Will ignoring it be a good idea? No. It won’t be. In fact mobile is in the core of whole general purpose computing of modern day.

  4. Disavow the bad backlinks Old SEO practices used to be quite different. There were trends of creating back links in bulk. Single content was posted on multiple sites to drive traffic and in fact it worked too. It was easier to influence Google ranking with creating tons of back links.

  5. Keep building links (and build them in a 'natural' pace) Even if Google doesn’t want you to create backlinks on spammy sites but it has never said that you should not build backlinks at all. Instead, do it in a natural pace. It will be difficult to get good position without back links.

  6. Lastly, make your content share-able. Make your content lovable too. I mean let people feel that they should share the content. You need to work hard to comply with the standards of “good content”. Creating good content takes time, in-depth research and lot of other considerations. Don’t be influenced with old SEO practices and keep posting content daily. Even, if you are posting content once in a week, it should help users in some way.
