  1. Darkness To Light: How Mehak and Her Family Found a New Beginning Farrukh Saif April 17, 2024 On March 16th, we reported the horrific incident involving 13-year-old Muslim girl Mehak, who the Kiln Manager had sexually assaulted and badly burned. The Kiln Manager sexually assaulted the 13-year-old girl, Mehak. After the assault, when she started scrambling and crying, he threw her into the burning pit where the bricks were being fired. This inhumane act subjected a minor child to a painfully traumatic experience, which may have a long-lasting and dark impact on her life. Comprehensive Medical Care and Support:

  2. At ECSPE, our mission is to help and give every possible to anyone who has been Persecuted. Our team in Pakistan played a vital role in releasing the family from the Brick Kiln slavery and moved Mehak to the hospital. After spending weeks in the hospital, Mehak has now fully recovered from her physical injuries and mental trauma. Our team in Pakistan worked tirelessly to ensure that she received the best possible medical treatment and support during her recovery. This included not only addressing her burns but also providing counseling and mental health services to help her cope with the emotional aftermath of the assault. A New Beginning for the Family: Mehak’s father, Muhammad Altaf, was a crippled man who was unable to work, as the family had been released from kiln slavery. To help the family start a new life, our team in Pakistan provided them with a motorcycle, a generous gift from a local person. This mode of transportation will allow Muhammad Altaf to seek employment and support his family, giving them a much-needed opportunity to rebuild their lives. Resilience and Hope: The story of Mehak and her family is a testament to the human spirit’s resilience and the power of compassion and support. Despite their unimaginable trauma, they have emerged stronger and more determined to move forward. Their journey inspires us all, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. As we celebrate Mehak’s full recovery and the family’s newfound opportunity. Tthis story reminds us of the importance of standing up for the vulnerable and providing the necessary resources and support to help them overcome adversity.

  3. By working together, we can create a world where stories like Mehak’s are not the exception, but the norm – a world where every individual has the chance to thrive and reach their full potential. Read more: https://ecspe.org/darkness-to-light-how-mehak-and-her-family-found-a-new-beginning/
