  1. How Immunotherapy Uses the Immune System of the Body to Fight Cancer?

  2. The immune system is more like the defense system of the body against viruses, bacteria, and other harmful substances. When it stops reacting against the substances affecting the body, you will feel sick. Hence, you will need a treatment that can strengthen the immune system by helping it regain the lost ability to fight viruses, etc.

  3. According to Dr. Kanury Rao, a leading immunologist, researcher, and scholar, immunotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for this. You will be amazed to know that immunotherapy can also treat various cancers. This is specifically an effective solution for skin cancer, bladder cancer, lung cancer, etc.

  4. Immunotherapy activates the immune system and its responses. Most immunologists who are experienced and trained follow the approach that targets the soldier cells i.e. T-cells of the immune system. Once these soldier cells are in active mode, they will start attacking and killing the cancerous or tumorous cells. Essentially, patients’ immune system and its power are harnessed by immunotherapy so that it can fight cancer. Although the human system is naturally designed to fight unknown cells, immunotherapy only activates it.

  5. In a nutshell • Even though immunotherapy has delivered promising results for some cancer patients, further studies are needed to see its positive effects. Researchers such as Kanury Rao are constantly doing research to help people know its benefits and usefulness.
