  3. FUN • Students get to interact with each other and their classmates in creating an AWESOME event. • Anything goes! Think “sold-out-event”, cheering crowds, newspaper/TV coverage, etc! • No one joins a club because they sell candy, have bake sales or run car washes! This will quickly become THE coolest event in the school and help your chapter membership and your member participation.

  4. Easy and Simple • We provide you with a Step-by-Step Guide for your convenience! • Our interactive website will also help you with everything that you need! From detailed job descriptions, to printing out fliers, sponsorship forms and educational training videos.

No Up-Front Costs • Non-Traditional Media pays for all of your start-up costs, we simply share the profits in the end! • We provide all of the tools and training throughout the process. • This includes instruction guides, educational videos, online support, forms, incredible prizes*, and much more. • Non-Traditional Media’s portion of the profit is shared with participating chapters’ State Office. *see the last slide for examples!

  6. Profitable • Last year the average school event generated $2200. • Non-Traditional Media built the program to be cost free for chapters! You simply need to cover any photocopying or security/clean-up costs. • We provide proven tools to help you get local businesses to sponsor the event. Our last event in 2005-06 raised over $5000 in local sponsorship!

Educational • This program was inspired by a course at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and faculty and students from Penn’s Graduate School of Education contributed to the development of this program. • This Experiential Learning Program provides teachers and students with an exciting a way to take skills that are learned in the classroom and apply them to an actual business.

  8. Examples of Prizes • For the Film Festival, students make their own films in two formats: • A 1-minute cell phone film • A 5-minute short film • The chapter votes on best film, best actor/actress • The winner of the best film from EACH school will receive an international distribution contract for their film. • The best films from all of the chapters will be shown on a new short film channel that Comcast is launching in 2007!!!
