  1. Transferring Email Folders From Yahoo To Outlook

  2. How inconvenient it can get when you switch to other email service but still want to have access to previous mail of another account. Some mails can work but you might need to access business related emails. You can easily merge your Yahoo mails in Outlook, giving you an advantage of accessing emails at one place. There are two ways of doing the same. Either you can select every folder in Yahoo or forward them to Outlook or you can sync the two email accounts.

  3. How to sync the two accounts: • Access your Outlook account and choose File> Info> Add Account> Manually Configure Server Settings. For proceeding ahead click on ‘Next’ button. • From the ‘Add New Account’ screen, select the ‘Internet Email’ option. • Tap on ‘Next’ button. On the next page, enter your login credentials i.e. email address as well as password. For avoiding of being prompted every time you log in, mark the box available next to ‘Remember Password’ option.

  4. For the incoming mail server enter ‘pop.mail.yahoo.com’ In the required field while in the outgoing server enter ‘smtp.mail.yahoo.com’. • Now, from the Account Type drop down menu, choose ‘POP3’. • After clicking the ‘More Settings’ option, type the account name in the Mail Account field. • Ensure that ‘Use Same settings as My Incoming Mail Server’ as well as ‘My SMTP Requires Authentication’ are marked under the ‘Outgoing Server’ tab.

  5. For POP3 server, enter ‘995’ after selecting the ‘Advanced’ tab and for the SMTP server, type ‘465’. As an encryption type select ‘SSL’ and also ensure that you have selected the ‘This Server Requires an Encrypted Connected’. • Then tap on OK> Next. After wards click on the ‘Finish’ button. Restart the Outlook. • Now, click on the ‘Send/ Receive’ tab and then choose ‘Send/ Receive All Folders’. You can see all your Yahoo folders appearing in the Outlook.

  6. Keep In Mind: if you don’t want your mails to get deleted from Yahoo, then mark the check box ‘Leave a Copy of Messages on the Server’ in the Advanced tab. If you don’t select the above mentioned option then you will lose access to all messages from Yahoo mail server once Outlook has imported them on your computer system. Yahoo Support Australia team is available round the clock to resolve all the webmail related issues.
