An online or open university is the one which provides the benefits of distance learning. It is beneficial for the students sitting far away and who want to avail the best of education facility.
The concept of Open University was developed to provide the benefits of higher education which are not available in their nearby areas. One of the best open universities in the world is the KNU Open University.
This university is the subsidiary of Taras Shevchenko National University and is counted in the top 500 universities in the world. This university has a historical background of almost 200 years which is the proof of its credibility.
Apart from its ranking on an international level, this university has been counted in top 50 universities of eastern and central Europe. Also, it has been ranked the 3rd university in the USSR rankings.
The KNU Open University is well known for its belief, endurance and the quality education they have been providing to its local and foreign students since decades. This university has the facility of both on-campus and online study. However, the local students of Ukraine or the students who have citizen ship of Ukraine are not allowed to register online.
They have to get themselves registered with the universities on campus admission system. The Open University mainly registers the students from outside Ukraine. Currently, there are approximately 30000 students registered with this university.
This contemporary educational institute provides many outstanding facilities which are: • 14 courses of junior specialist qualifications • 49 training programs • 55 bachelor degrees • 98 courses in master degree qualifications, and much more.
It was also provided that in the past years around 1645 students have obtained postgraduate degrees who continued to do their Ph.D.'s. Also 350 doctoral theses are received annually.
In addition to the above qualification provided, the KNU Open University has 198 departments which have sub departments too. The university provides world class faculty to its students. Their faculties are well qualified and experienced and provide the best motivational and innovative teaching to the students.
Talking of their faculty, it becomes quite important to mention that there are 1645 staff members currently with PG degrees, 626 PhD qualified members and 60 members of national academy of science in Ukraine.
The dean of this university is a well known and highly qualified personality in himself. His name is Prof. Dr. Habib Al Suleiman He is a highly qualified person with various degrees like MBA, doctorate of business administration, BA (Hons).
He is also a media speaker at ATV, CNBTV, city7 TV, etc. he won the award of “best business leader” and is a member of The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education.
This university has been recognized by the government of Ukraine and many other national and international educational bodies.
