Front Porch Cinema at Santa Monica Pier The Santa Monica Pier is a huge flexible pier positioned at the foot of Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica, in California itself which is approximately 100+ years old milestone. Santa Monica has had numerous piers several years ago; though, the existing Santa Monica Pier is really two touching piers that long had isolated possessors. The elongated, thin Municipal Pier opened on 9th of September in the year 1909, mainly to transport sewer pipes beyond breakers & no facilities. The small, extensive touching Pleasure Pier to the south, a.k.a. Newcomb Pier, was built in the year 1916 by Charles I. D. Looff and his son Arthur, enjoyment park developers. The fascinations on the Pleasure Pier ultimately involved the Santa Monica Looff Hippodrome structure, Blue Streak Racer roller coaster (which was bought from the obsolete Wonderland pleasure park in San Diego), a funhouse, merry- go-rounds, the Whip and Wurlitzer organs.
