  1. How to Remove Dealer Stickers with or Without Heat? Some used cars come with car dealer decals or stickers. The first thing many people think about after purchasing the car is to remove these stickers. This may not be your situation exactly. Maybe, you got a sticker of your favorite sports team and now, your loyalty no longer lies with that team. What is the next step? Of course, you will want to remove the sticker. Whatever your reasons are, it is possible to remove those tacky stickers. Here are easy steps to remove them with heat. By the end of this process, you will not find any trace of the stickers. Apply heat to the sticker using a heat gun or a blow dryer. The heat source should be constant. Heat guns are cheap and durable; they are a better option because blow dryers may get damaged when used for long. The next thing is to use a plastic razor blade to raise the corners of the sticker. You can get this razor blade in big departmental stores. Hold the corners or the lifted side of the sticker and use the razor to carefully peel it off. In some cases, the sticker will begin to crack. When that happens, you need to be extra careful in the peeling process. Most often, there will be some residues of the sticker on the car. You can clear this using an adhesive remover. Apply adhesive remover all over the place to remove any traces of the sticker. You should be cautious when doing this. You should continually check to see if the paint is still intact. If it is factory paint, it will not get damaged when you apply the adhesive remover. However, re-painted clear paints are not durable. They get damaged when you apply an adhesive remover. Adhesives contain strong chemicals that will damage the paint on the car if the paint is not durable.

  2. When you apply the adhesive, let it soak the paint for some time. You can next rub the area with a towel. Sometimes, a towel will not be able to remove the residue and you may need to use the plastic razor blade to scrape it off. You can also leave the car in the sun for some time and then use the plastic razor to remove it. Other people use a credit card in place of a plastic razor. If the sticker is not too rigidly stuck to your car, you can get the sticker and scrap it off with a plastic razor. You will need to keep wetting the area until the sticker is completely gone. If all these are too much work for you, you can just take the car to a body shop to get it done. You do not need to stress yourself with this procedure. When you take it to a body shop, you do not need to worry about scratching your car paint. The thing is that you don't need to keep the dealer decals or stickers on your car when you cannot stand the sight of it.
