  3. Women in Robbery • Men account for 87.9% of the arrests for robbery. • Most notorious Female thieves consist of: • Bonnie Parker • Jeanne de Valois-Saint-Rémy • The forty Elephants gang • The Starlet Bandit • Moll Cutpurse

Women in Burglary • Women tend to burgle less, however when they do they tend to get away with it more often then men. • The Home office did some research according to the independent. • They found that of the 1,639,000 burglaries in England and Wales in 1997 • Of the known details of the offender (41% of break-ins) 6% were done by Women. This is a far smaller amount then the men • The female thieves accounted for 9% of successful burglaries – 878,000 successful break-ins

Women in Kidnapping • According to kidshealth.org, children and teens who are abducted tend to be stolen by family members or people they know, they say that this makes up 75% of kidnappings. • In the US the department of Justice announced that 155,800 children are victims to serious parental kidnapping annually. • Majority of kidnapping is done by men for example in Canada in 2015, 328 women were arrested for Forcible confinement, Kidnapping or Abduction, and 3,138 men were arrested for the same crime.
