  1. The Growing Influence Of Latina Women In The Growing Influence Of Latina Women In Business Business Certain patterns - also in business – are repeated all the time. In most societies men reach the top quicker and earn more than women, also more than immigrants. Look at this example: It is estimated, in the U.S. that Latinas earn only 55 cents for every dollar that white men earn, which is also more than what Hispanic men earn. It is no wonder then that Latina business professionals are starting to make their presence felt to ‘normalize’ this situation. Many of these ladies have lived in the U.S. all their lives as their parents or grandparents were the first generation of immigrants. These women are no longer intimidated, as they are fully integrated in American life and demand to be treated as equals – also in business. They open up their own businesses in the business district, in shopping malls and smaller centers, or they create an online business. Some are owners, others are CEOs and managers. They attend conferences and make their presence felt. There are several examples of Latinas in business that have inspired thousands and millions of Americans with their story of hard work and dedication. Examples are Patty Arvielo, President of New American Funding, Andrea Lisbona, Founder and CEO of Touchland, well-known hand sanitizer brand, and Beatriz Acevedo, President of the leading digital media brand for young Latinos in America. These women are well known within their own communities, but certainly also among mainstream business in the U.S. They are only examples of thousands of successful Latina business women that are admired and whose opinion counts. Conferences have always been an ideal opportunity to meet successful business people and colleagues from far away. At a business conference or convention you get to listen to leaders, to successful members of the community – ethnic, business or otherwise – and you are given the opportunity to learn from other professionals. These days leading Latina business professionals also attend conferences in growing numbers as proof of their importance in several fields, right from finance, technology, science and the arts and entertainment. The list goes on. Some are keynote speakers at these conferences, and some lead workshops and similar events. The U.S. with its sizeable Hispanic population, and therefore growing numbers, too, of Latina business professionals, is a great example of a country where conferences allow business people to showcase their knowledge and talents, where they share their experiences with members of their community, as well as with other individuals from different backgrounds. Many of these Latina business professionals are leaders in their communities, or they have risen to the top in their industries, which is why their voice is important – also at conventions and conferences. L’ATTITUDE is a well-supported platform that stages a big conference for the Latino cohort every year where business leaders give talks, take Q & A sessions, lead meetings and make sure they are available for networking for their own, but especially, the benefit of others. At these events you meet interesting people from all walks of life, and some conferences make sure their program includes, in addition to business people, also celebrities from within the community, people who often act as role models for communities that are still trying to make their mark or to become fully entrenched in every sphere of society. The Latino segment of the U.S. population is no different. Some of them have lived in the country since birth whereas others’ parents or grandparents were the first generation of Latino immigrants. The community has its own leaders, business and otherwise, and they do their best to instill in the next generation those values that have made them successful. They work hard, they become successful business people, they attend conferences and they plough back valuable knowledge and experience for the next generation to benefit from. About Us: L’ATTITUDE is an impressive platform created to focus on the New Mainstream Economy in the United States, driven by leading Latino voices, companies and members of the wider Latino cohort, with their mission to encourage support for initiatives that will help catalyze the Restart and Rebound of this sector by enabling opportunities for engagement through which faster, more profitable growth becomes a given. Investing in the ideals of this platform plays an important part in understanding how essential the Latino cohort is for the overall health and ongoing growth of the total American economy for the benefit of all. Impressive contributions across the board by Latinos from the worlds of politics, business, media and technology have helped shape the platform that is L’ATTITUDE, with a strong focus on furthering the ideals of this sector of society as they also promote the cooperation of all groups to help shape the future success of America, with the Annual L’ATTITUDE Event a highlight on the calendar.
