6. Narrative Writing • narrative offers us the opportunity to think and write about ourselves, to explain how our experiences lead to some important realization or conclusion about our lives or about the world, in general.

7. Figurative Language • Good narrative writing creates a picture in the reader’s mind. • Use lots of description and figurative language • Similes • Metaphors • Hyperbole • Analogies • Action packed verbs • Ran vs. Raced

8. Short Story • Can be read at one sitting. • Using stages of Plot. • Has Conflict. • Uses dialogue.
