Presentation Overview • 15-20 Minute time frame • The year reported on is the round 8 year • Two parts • The shareholder report part • The ‘what I learned’ part • Must turn in a complete written annual report and a copy of the slides. • You may give handouts to the ‘shareholders’ (other class members) if you desire, but not required
Presentation Requirements • Introduction of Management Team • Outline of presentation • Company Overview • Strategies • Mission statement and Corporate Strategy • Business • Functional • Financial Highlights (explain what they tell us) • Profitability Ratios • Liquidity Ratios • Equity Ratios • Must use industry stats along with company stats • Must present performance measures; may add other positive financials as desired • Conclusion/Wrap Up of pertinent information • Plans for the Future • Lessons Learned
Report Requirements • Overall Length - 10-15 pages • Content should mirror presentation • Cover Page • Table of Contents • Letter to the Shareholders - 1 page • Company Profile • Strategy (Mission, Corporate, Business, Functional) • Financial Highlights (Profitability Ratios, Liquidity Ratios, Equity Ratios; include industry stats as in presentation) • Plans for the Future • Lessons Learned
Report Requirements (cont) • Format-Business style writing • Times New Roman font, 12 pt., 1 inch margins • Single-space paragraphs • Double-space between paragraphs and after headers • Section headers in bold; sub-headers italicized • All type should be left justified; no indentation on paragraphs • Printed report should be bound • Watch paragraph lengths, grammar, spelling • Consistent formatting throughout • Use charts, graphs, images and bullets; be creative but professional; graphs should not be to big
